With over two decades of global construction experience, Clem leads the team with hands-on expertise and a passion for problem-solving. From high-end renovations in London to large-scale rural builds in New Zealand, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a practical, no-nonsense approach to every project.
Natasha Munro
With a background in a five-generation building family, Natasha keeps operations running smoothly. Her expertise in project coordination and business management ensures every project is executed efficiently and to the highest standard.

Antony Groenewegen
Antony brings over 45+ years of comprehensive experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record across Otago and Southland. As the former director of Antony Groenewegen Builder Limited, he has successfully delivered a diverse portfolio of projects encompassing capital works, school developments, commercial facilities, and residential projects. Antony is highly regarded for his strategic oversight, clear communication, and well-established relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers. In his role as Construction Manager, he is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency across all projects, while providing mentorship and technical guidance to the wider construction team.
Alan Anderson
Alan is an experienced foreman, leading site operations with professionalism, precision, and a strong focus on quality. With a background in joinery, his attention to detail is second to none, ensuring every element of the build meets the highest standards. Alan oversees the smooth day-to-day coordination of projects—managing subcontractors, maintaining site safety, and keeping timelines on track. He is also a key point of contact for clients on site, ensuring clear communication and a collaborative approach throughout the build. In addition, Alan mentors our apprentices, fostering skill development and a strong culture of craftsmanship across the team.

Our process.
We understand that no two construction projects are the same. Whether you're building a residential home, a farm structure, a commercial space, an educational facility like a school or early learning center, an industrial project, or a bespoke design, we approach every project with the same commitment to delivering outstanding results.
Stage 1: Planning
Engaging Early. Understanding Objectives.
The foundation of every successful project lies in building strong, collaborative relationships. We believe that establishing a solid partnership with you, our client, and working closely with our trusted local subcontractors is key to achieving the best results.
We begin by engaging early with you to understand your vision and objectives. Together, we build a project team, which includes your preferred subcontractors or, if needed, we can suggest those we believe would be the best fit. We can also work with your developed designers or put you in contact with some great architects or draughts person to suit your project requirements. Our strong relationships with subcontractors foster high-level planning and open communication from the initial tendering stage through to the project’s completion.
Through early collaboration, we can align your vision with practical solutions, fine-tuning concepts, addressing challenges, and developing a realistic budget. Clem and Antony's availability onsite ensures quick communication with subcontractors, so everyone is on the same page throughout the process.
Stage 2: Design
Concept. Collaboration. Creation.
Once the conceptual design is in place, we dive into the detailed design phase. Our team works alongside the design team to refine plans, ensuring compliance with all necessary consents, including local council approvals and any required resource consents. We also finalize the project budget, construction schedule, and timeline.
Ongoing cost estimating and value engineering are integral to managing the project’s budget and ensuring we meet your financial expectations. Our focus remains on providing you with a seamless construction experience, keeping you informed and in control.
Stage 3: Construction
Time to build.
Our experienced team of managers and foremen is dedicated to delivering your project with efficiency, quality, and attention to detail. As soon as the consented plans are in place, we move forward with a contract and begin the construction process.
Construct South’s skilled builders are capable of handling every aspect of the project, from civil work and demolition to framing, cladding, and interior/exterior construction. We oversee every stage of the build, ensuring each phase—from first fix to second fix and finishing details—is completed to the highest standards.
We prioritise communication throughout the construction phase. Regular onsite meetings, quick sharing of information, and efficient decision-making ensure smooth project management. Our use of Procore, a construction management software, allows you to access photos, drawings, and key documents, keeping you updated at every stage.Our quality management process ensures that Clem works closely with all trades and project management to uphold the highest standards. Should any defects arise, whether during construction or after project completion, they are addressed promptly through our notification process and rectified quickly.
Safety is a top priority for us. As a member of Site Wise, we are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, with ongoing training to keep our team up-to-date on industry best practices.
Stage 4: Completion
The finishing touches.
Our commitment extends to delivering your project on time and to the highest quality. As we approach completion, we work closely with our trades to ensure that every detail is finished to perfection, and we make sure all necessary documentation is in place. This includes as-built plans, user manuals, warranties, guarantees, and any relevant consenting information.
Once the code of compliance is signed off by the local district council, we hand over the keys to your new premises, ready for you to enjoy!
